You're welcome. I'm far from an expert on Israel, having only visited once almost 30 years ago (I have been very close to many, many Israelis in the US FWIW). I'm an expert when it comes to my family history, and I suspect many of my ancestors who advocated for Jewish state are turning over in their graves over what's happening--and has been happening--there now. I'll be writing one or two more pieces, the nature of which keeps evolving as the situation there unfolds. It's very heartening to see so much pushback though, especially from American Jews, notably in my longtime home of Brooklyn and my alma mater, Columbia University. I'm not sure where the situation will settle, but there's been a major disruption in the "support Israel no matter what" narrative, and that's a good thing.
