I wish the public understood some general principles of physics. If they did, they'd understand things like the relation of mass to acceleration and velocity. They'd also realize energy comes from somewhere--that EVs aren't even necessarily more efficient than ICE engines because the latter does direct fuel to power conversion, whereas EVs convert fuel to power then transferred to power storage, which is finally converted into power delivery. I'm no fan of ICEs, but I'm less of a fan of false promises and the kinds of bald lies Tesla has made an integral part of their growth strategy.
