Apropos of this post are the hidden objectives of status quo operators, who launch and financially back superficial "climate friendly" products and iniatives while practically/fiscally relying on climate-destroying products, markets, and partners (e.g. oil and gas) for their revenue. BMW might make EVs (not the small i3s anymore, but an electric 7 series), but it still pushes the oversized SUVs reliant on oil and gas.

Leaving aside the unscientific science of proposing non-regenerative EVs and their carbon-loving infrastructure as legitimate climate solutions, one cannot simultaneously decarbonize with one tiny product sector while recarbonizing with a really big one. It shows how status quo players like BMW want it whichever way makes money and has the best optics for Superbowl commericals.

Shaun, perhaps you want to talk about how you reconciled taking financial backing from BMW/Mini (which are hardly mini anymore) and their climate arsonist ways with your stated intention of developing decarbonization tech...because I've never been able to figure it out. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2021/08/31/biden-electric-vehicles-problems-yergin-507599
